Strategies page lists all the strategies created by the user so far, including incomplete strategies.
Each listed strategy gives a summary of the respective strategy. On clicking an individual strategy it shows the list of all the scrips it was run on along with its backtest performance.
From the strategies page, each strategy can be either edited, copied, deleted, deployed or backtest details can be viewed. To see the strategy options, click on the two dots on top right corner and the options will be visible.
To edit or modify the strategy edit option can be selected, in case you want to fine-tune it even more or change the parameters like Stop loss, Target profit or add additional entry or exit indicators. After editing the strategy its modified summary will be reflected immediately.
As the name suggests this option can be used to copy/fork the strategy.
In case you want to delete the strategy, this option can be used.
If any of the scrips of the strategy is live i.e. deployed live in the market, the strategy can neither be edited or deleted
To open this, you have to click anywhere on the strategy detail, and now you will find complete details of individual scrip performance along with cumulative results of the strategy.
Export Backtest Result¶
Once you open the strategy backtest page, and click on the two dots on top right hand side you will find the option to Export your backtest results. This will download a snapshot of your backtest metrics of all the scrips, that is backtest profit/loss, number of signals, win/loss, Max DD and so on. More details on these metrics is covered here
All transaction detail¶
As the name suggests, this will export all the transaction details for every symbol present in the strategy. Transaction details include the date and time of entry as well as exit, along with the trade price and the cumulative profit or loss on the transaction.
Deploy allows users to take their strategies live in the stock market and get actionable alerts based on the entry and exit conditions in their strategy.
On clicking the "Deploy" button on either Backtest or strategies page, a popup is rendered where the user can choose the "strategy cycle", which determines the number of trades the strategy will be take ( strategy cycle defines the loop of the strategy: Entry followed by the respective exit ) and our systems will track market movements. If "MIS" is selected, the strategy will be live for that single day ( this can also be increased by using strategy live for parameter). If the user selects "CNC/NRML", the order type will be CNC for equities and NRML for future and options contracts and the strategy will be live for the next 30 days (or until the strategy is stopped by the user or terminated due to some reason such as order rejection or user subscription expires).
Once a strategy or symbol is deployed, a small ‘Deploy’ icon is shown on the extreme left-hand side of the symbol.
For all strategies, you have already created, you can deploy directly from the strategies page without backtesting again.
To do this you just need to go to the strategies page, search and then hover over the stocks to see the historical backtested profit/loss. Then you need to click on two dots and select "Deploy", you will see the pre-deployment properties window in the strategies page. Finally, you can set a strategy cycle and other parameters, accept terms and then click on the "Live Trade" button.
